Day 4: Berlin by bike

Today Kalle took me on a bike tour through Berlin to find a nice beach bar to see the match Australia vs. Japan (3:1).
Kind of a difficult position for me as I have friends in both countries...so, :-) for Judy and Myles and :-( for Kaz and Masatoshi.

After the match I continued my bike tour and decided to go the 'Tiergarten', a huge parc in the heart of Berlin.
Here I found a 'cute' 1:4 rebuilt of the Berlin Olympic Stadium, constructed as Public Viewing area with 2 huge screens for 20000 visitors!!
3 Euros for USA vs. Czech Republic, hey ho let's go. Unfortenately the Czechs just overun the Americans, they lost 0:3. So the happiness of the american fans was kind of 'limited'...
Anyways, I met a guy coming directly from Columbus Ohio where I used to work in 2004 at The Ohio State University. We had a lot to talk and went back together to the beach bar to see the match Italy vs. Ghana.

At midnight I joined Kalle and Paul at the 'Club of the visionaries' to listen to some minimal electro outdoors beside the 'Landwehr-Kanal'.

Shoe carpet of Doreen's neighbour.

Berlin, still a huge construction.

The TV tower as football, in the sponsored t-mobile-pink.

Beach bar at the Spree river in front of the 'museum island'.

No sound, but James Brown, Reggae and Corona: Australia vs. Japan (3:1).

1:4 Olympic Stadium rebuilt in front of German chancellor Merkel's residence.

Inside the public viewing stadium.

USA vs. Czech Republic, 0:3 ...........

DJ at the 'Club of the visionaries'.
