Day 3: HighSpeed train to Berlin

8am, after a short night, time to get the train to Berlin.
But how can I sleep if the train is crowded by enthousiastic Mexicans on their way to the first match vs. Iran in Nuremberg? I took the chance to refresh my poor spanish and got some fan pictures while speeding with 300km/h towards Berlin.

Arriving in Berlin at the brand new train station I went straight to my old berlin connection in the Vienna street/Kreuzberg where we watched the games of the afternoon.
But we all where very tired and my friends are not that much into soccer as I am right now.
So I decided to join them for a beer in the park, without any tv or soccer...my godness, I missed my first match!
Let's see how the next days are gonna be.

Writing my world cup diaries in the train.

Remember 1954, the first world cup for Germany (carpet in the train).
